Tom Thornton

Tom Thornton is a seasoned drilling professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Drilling Superintendent at EOG Resources since September 2017, Tom has previously held roles as Field Drilling Superintendent and Drilling Engineer within the same company. Prior to EOG Resources, Tom worked at ConocoPhillips from June 2012 to September 2017 as a Drilling Supervisor and Drilling Engineer, where responsibilities included supervising horizontal drilling operations in the Permian Basin and managing onsite logistics to ensure project safety and cost-effectiveness. Tom began the career as a Production Engineer, focusing on re-completions and workovers in multiple basins. Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas Tech University, completed in 2012.
