Timothy Russell has a diverse work experience in the field of aerospace engineering. Before Maxar Technologies, Timothy worked at KBRwyle as a Satellite Subsystem Engineer from 2016 to 2018. Timothy monitored and analyzed the performance of the Command & Data Handling subsystem for NASA's EOS Aura mission and implemented process improvements.

From 2013 to 2016, Timothy worked at Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc. as a Satellite Controller. Timothy provided operational support for NASA's EOS Terra, Aqua, and Aura satellites, monitored spacecraft health and safety, and responded to contingencies.

Timothy's work experience also includes a role as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland College Park from 2011 to 2013, where they researched high-temperature superconducting material in wireless power transfer and co-wrote a paper on experimental results.

Timothy Russell pursued their education in the field of Aerospace Engineering, completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering at the University of Maryland from 2009 to 2013. Timothy then went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering Sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder, which they completed from 2018 to 2022. As of December 2022, Timothy has obtained the Master of Science certification from the University of Colorado Boulder.
