Tou Lo

Tou Lo has a diverse range of work experience in the field of IT and technology. They started their career in 1997 as a B2 Electrical and Environmental Systems technician in the United States Air Force. In this role, Tou was responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical and environmental control systems for the B2 Aircraft.

After leaving the Air Force, Tou joined the Boulder Valley School District as a Tier 1 Technician in 2006. They provided frontline support for faculty and staff at designated schools, maintaining all hardware and software at each assigned school.

In 2010, Tou moved to The Academy of Charter Schools, where they served as the Technology Coordinator. During their time in this role, Tou developed the IT systems to support modern teaching methods and advocated for more IT presence within the organization. They also led projects to improve infrastructure and increase bandwidth and infrastructure speeds for a high-density mobile device network. In 2013, Tou was promoted to Director of IT, influencing the direction of organizational IT with long-term strategy and tactical plans.

In 2021, Tou joined PopSockets as the Manager of IT Systems and Networks. In this position, they led a global infrastructure and systems team, providing IT services across different time zones. Tou leveraged cloud and on-prem infrastructure to support product delivery from worldwide fulfillment centers to B2B and B2C customers. They also supported various systems like NAV, Salesforce, Shopify, and Azure.

Currently, Tou works as the Director of IT and Security at EOI Space, a high-growth startup. Their responsibilities include building high-resolution imaging satellites and developing IT operations, cybersecurity, and compliance processes in a startup environment. They also handle IT operations in Microsoft O365, AWS, Azure, and Atlassian.

Tou Lo holds a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems and Business Analytics from Colorado State University Global. They also have experience in B2 Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems from the Community College of the Air Force. Furthermore, Tou Lo has pursued studies in Computer Science at Iowa State University. In terms of certifications, they have obtained the CompTIA A+ Certification from CompTIA in October 2006, the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in June 2021, and the Project Management Professional (PMP)® from the Project Management Institute in December 2020.
