Ariel Horowitz

Ariel Horowitz currently serves as the Head of Policy Strategy at Eolian since May 2025. Prior experience includes a role as Deputy Director of Grid Modernization at the U.S. Department of Energy from April 2023 to April 2025, where leadership of a 40-member team was undertaken to direct national energy program design and execution. Previously, Ariel held the position of Senior Program Director at the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center from December 2017 to April 2023, overseeing multiple energy programs, as well as serving as Director of Technology Development. Early career experience includes tenure as a Senior Associate at Synapse Energy Economics and a Research Fellow at Project Drawdown. Academic credentials include a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Swarthmore College.
