Brian West

Brian West has over 20 years of experience in various engineering and quality assurance positions. Their most recent position as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer was at EOTECH. Prior to that, they served in the same role at L3Harris Technologies. Brian was also the Engineering & Quality Leader at Koch Industries, Director of Operations & Quality at Midwest MicroDevices, and Senior Development Engineer at First Solar. Their earlier experience includes working as an Engineering Manager at The Dow Chemical Company, Lead Process Engineer at GE Renewable Energy, and Application Engineer at Lam Research. Brian began their career as a Process Engineer at Shin-Etsu where they were involved in a new semiconductor silicon wafer plant start-up. Throughout their career, Brian has been responsible for implementing statistical process control, Lean Manufacturing, standardized work, preventative maintenance, quality management systems, audits, and root cause analysis. Brian has led monthly performance metrics and continuous improvements, and introduced new systems and equipment to improve part traceability and process efficiency. Brian has also managed the execution of audits and the accreditation of products.

Brian West earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman in 1997. Twelve years later, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Organizational Leadership from Wilmington University, which they attended from 2004 to 2006.
