He has held various interim leadership positions in organizations such as EPACENTER, Cancer Prevention Institute of California, Foundation for a College Education, Acterra: Action for a Healthy Planet, and San Francisco Parks Alliance. With a background in music, Matthew O'Grady has made significant contributions to the development and success of these organizations throughout his career.

EPACENTER
EPACENTER is a creative youth development center in East Palo Alto that amplifies the creative potential in every young person. Our mission is to create opportunities for youth in the community in East Palo Alto to discover and amplify their talents, realize their potential, and bring positive impact to the world through their creative expression. EPACENTER provides approximately 500 youth per year with free programming in the digital, literary, visual and performing arts. EPACENTER offers programming along three developmental pathways: • Arts education classes that help students develop their 21st Century skills like creativity, teamwork, and perseverance • Job training programs in creative fields that close gaps in skills and build competencies • On-going socio-emotional support throughout their engagement with our programs to help them thrive as they age Our age-differentiated programs are led by professional artists, designers, and licensed clinicians with programs taking place during the school day, after-school and during the summer. EPACENTER envisions a future where all young people in and of East Palo Alto will have the opportunity to become creative innovators, and enjoy economic and social success in their community.
