Hans Knapp has over 20 years of investing, legal, and corporate governance experience. Hans co-founded Yaletown Partners Inc. in 2001 and presently manages Yaletown's emerging-growth investments in Circle Cardiovascular, Cooledge Lighting, Redlen Technologies, and Equicare Health. Hans has played a key role in the formation, financing, or exiting of over two dozen high growth companies, most recently Monexa's sale to Netsuite (2015), Bitstew's sale to General Electric (2016), and the sale of Daiya Foods to Otsuka Pharmaceuticals (2017). In 2021, Hans was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA). Hans has also served as Chair of the Board of Directors for Circle Cardiovascular Imaging (2018), Board Observer for Cooledge Lighting Inc. (2016), Board Observer and Board Director for Redlen Technologies Inc. (2004), Board Director for ePACT Network Ltd. (2015), Board Director and Audit Committee Chair for Equicare Health (2008), Founding Board Director, Investor, and Advisor for Daiya Foods Inc. (2008), and Board Director for Thetus Corporation (2009).
Hans Knapp attended The University of British Columbia from 2001 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws.
