Software Engineer at EPC Power

Michael B. has a diverse work experience that spans over a decade. Michael started their career as a Software Engineer at Brigham Young University in 2009 and subsequently worked on various roles such as Full Stack Engineer, Mobile App Developer and Data Scientist. In 2015, they joined Dell EMC as a Site Reliability Engineer and contributed to building automated testing templates, monitoring and reporting frameworks, and successfully tested infrastructure changes for security compliance. In 2017, they took a temporary early retirement and traveled the West Coast. Michael later worked as a Senior SDET at MultiScale Health Networks, where they automated testing of REST APIs using various tools. Michael then worked at Fort Supply Technologies, where they worked as a Senior Full Stack Engineer, Building microservices, developing APIs and ETLs, and establishing a monitoring system and implementing dashboards and visualizations. Michael was also elevated to the role of Principal Software Engineer/Director of Software Engineering. Their current role is as a Software Engineer at EPC Power Corp, starting in 2023.

Michael B. received an AAS degree in General from Olympic College in 2005. Michael then completed their BA in Linguistics from Brigham Young University in 2012, and went on to earn a Master's Degree in Computational Linguistics from the same university in 2016. Michael also has additional certifications in cyber security awareness, privacy and information security training, and an amateur radio license. Michael also earned the title of Eagle Scout from the Boy Scouts of America, and completed a course in "Shaping Up With AngularJS" at CodeSchool.
