Peter Shield

Peter Shield is an experienced electrical engineer with a comprehensive background in senior authorized person activities and project delivery. Peter's career began at East Midlands Electricity from May 1993 to April 2003, where roles included overseeing overhead line refurbishment and managing major project construction. Following this, Peter served as 132kV Design Manager and Project Engineer at Central Networks from April 2003 to March 2005, managing a £40 million annual capital reinforcement program and delivering large-scale electrical projects. From October 2011 to May 2014, Peter worked as a Project Engineer at Western Power Distribution, continuing the focus on significant electrical project execution. Most recently, Peter held multiple managerial roles at EPCOR, overseeing transmission operations and a team of system control operators, ensuring the safe maintenance and operation of high-voltage electrical systems. Peter possesses a distinction in the Nebosh National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety and holds a Higher National Certificate in Electrical Engineering as well as an MBA.
