Omar Sadek

Omar Sadek has a diverse range of work experience in the field of information technology. Omar is currently serving as the Director of Information Technology at EPCVIP, Inc. since May 2022. Prior to this role, they worked at the same company as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2020 to May 2022.

Before joining EPCVIP, Inc., Omar worked at Datamarx from October 2018 to April 2020 as a Senior Backend Engineer. During their tenure, they designed and developed a proprietary authorization and multi-factor authentication system using Java 8 with the Spring Boot framework. Omar also developed a real-time browser extension events capturing system using AWS Lambda and SQS. Omar led the development of a highly scalable microservice for a real-time smart ad recommendation system. Additionally, they created technical specifications for third-party clients and the internal web/engineering team.

Prior to Datamarx, Omar worked at Guidepoint from October 2017 to October 2018 as a PHP5 Developer. Omar used Object-Oriented Design to provide more efficient solutions for workflow processes and contributed to the transition of a monolithic application to microservices. Their technical skills included Symfony2, Redis, MSSQL, Kong, REST API, Docker, and Vagrant.

In 2017, Omar worked remotely as a Web Developer Mentor for OpenClassrooms from August 2017 to February 2018.

From June 2014 to June 2017, Omar worked at GRDF as a PHP5/Symfony2 Developer. Omar managed multiple projects, leading a team of 3 to 8 developers. Omar developed various tools, including emergency management and gas safety tools, as well as a tool for displaying references on a map of France. Their technical expertise included Symfony2, AngularJS, Twig, JavaScript, jQuery, and Node.

Omar started their career at Institut Catholique de Paris in April 2011 and worked as a PHP5 Developer until June 2014. Omar developed a web service using Symfony2 for a mobile application and also worked on the university's online portal.

Omar's early work experience includes a role as a Software Developer at Netserve from February 2010 to March 2011. Omar worked on PHP website development, network management software in Ruby on Rails, and the development of a home automation system connected to a Linux server.

Omar SADEK started their education in 2005 at Lycée KSA, where they completed their Scientific Baccalaureate in 2006. Omar continued their education at Ynov Informatique from 2009 to 2012, where they earned a MASTER Eurotech degree, specializing as an Expert in computer and information systems, still in the field of Computer Science.
