Ryan Maloney

Principal Online Engineer

Ryan Maloney is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in online and embedded systems, primarily focusing on C++ and Unreal Engine 4. Currently serving as a Principal Online Engineer at Epic Games since November 2021, Ryan has contributed to the Epic Online Services SDK. Prior experience includes a role as a Senior Software Engineer at Blizzard Entertainment, where Ryan shipped Diablo 2 Resurrected and integrated client-side online services for PC and console platforms. At Vicarious Visions, Ryan played a key role in the development of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 + 2 Remake. Additionally, previous positions include significant contributions at GE Global Research, GE Power, Bechtel Marine Propulsion Corporation, and various other software engineering roles. Ryan holds a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, along with a Master's Degree in Philosophy from University at Albany and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Union College.
