Jon Condit

Jon Condit is a native born Californian and life long lover of film, with an emphasis on horror and sci-fi. With a career as an online publisher spanning almost 20 years he grew up on a steady diet of drawing and video games. Naturally his interests led to programming and design with the advent of the internet. He hand coded his first website in Notepad, a humble Buffy The Vampire Slayer fansite, on GeoCities in 1996. In 2001 he met his now business partner Steve Barton while working on Fangoria.com and the two would go on to found Dread Central together in 2006. Currently he’s working on taking Dread Central into new territory alongside their new partner Patrick Ewald of Epic Pictures Group who acquired the website in 2017 and together launched a distribution label focusing on indie horror.
