Abhinav Varma

Abhinav Varma has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Abhinav started their career as a Summer Intern at WatConsultant in 2008. In 2009, they worked as a Summer Intern at Defence Research Development Organization, where they focused on web mining and developed a parsing tool. In 2010, they worked as a Freelance Developer at John Deere, where they designed and developed software for process diagnosis using Semantic Web Rule Language (SWRL) rules. Abhinav also worked as an Intern at Broadcom during the same year.

From 2011 onwards, Abhinav joined Epic and took on multiple roles. Abhinav started as a Software Developer, working on designing and developing infrastructure for loading non-contiguously placed data blocks from disk at a faster rate. Abhinav then moved on to become a Senior Software Systems Developer and later a Software Development Team Lead, where they contributed to the development and management of various EpicCare Ambulatory modules, including Endocrinology and Review Tools. Simultaneously, they held the position of R&D Lead for Offshore Outpatient Clinical Scribes, where they developed a framework for offshore users to connect to Epic's software and assist clinicians with documentation while protecting Epic's intellectual property.

In 2020, Abhinav became the R&D Lead for Pediatrics at Epic, where they were responsible for prioritizing and advocating for pediatric needs, creating the vision and roadmap for Epic's pediatric functionality. In 2022, they also took on the role of Software Systems Architect at Epic. Overall, Abhinav Varma's work experience showcases a strong background in software development, system architecture, and leadership roles within the healthcare technology industry.

Abhinav Varma completed their Bachelors of Engineering (Honors) degree in Computer Science from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, from the year 2006 to 2011. Abhinav also pursued Masters of Science in Mathematics from the same institute during the same period.
