Amy Howell has extensive experience in technical services at Epic since September 2016 and has been an Undergraduate Researcher as a PPG Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh since January 2015, focusing on the anti-biofouling potential of polyfluoropolyether polymers under the guidance of Dr. Lei Li. Amy has developed a robust test method for quantifying protein adsorption effectively and is engaged in exploring optimal coating parameters. Participation in the Freshman Engineering Leadership Team as a Student Ambassador involved leading facility tours and communicating with prospective students. Additionally, as a Peer Tutor for the Pitt Engineering Career Access Program, tutoring has been provided in STEM subjects. Previous experience includes an R&D Co-op at Cohera Medical, Inc., contributing to the development of Class III medical devices, alongside earlier research assistance in immunology at the University of Pittsburgh. Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, earned in 2016.
