Jason Schmidt

Jason Schmidt is a network architect and engineering manager with over twenty years of experience in various technologies, including Data Center, WAN, LAN, Security, and Wireless. They began their career as a Network Administrator at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls from 2001 to 2006, followed by roles as a Network Engineer at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater and the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development. From 2014 to 2016, Jason continued as a Network Engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Administration, later transitioning to Epic, where they currently serve as both a Network Architect and Engineering Manager, focusing on Data Center and WAN network designs for multi-tenant cloud environments. Jason also has experience as an Adjunct Instructor at Edgewood College, where they taught networking classes to undergraduate students. They hold a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
