Laurel Piper

Laurel Piper is a Technical Solutions Engineer at Epic since July 2016, bringing extensive experience in the field of bioengineering and clinical engineering. Prior roles include serving as a Clinical Engineering Intern at Rush University Medical Center, where responsibilities included the repair and transport of medical devices within the operating room. As a Research Assistant at the Vanderbilt Institute for Integrative Biosystems Research and Education, Laurel focused on experimental setup for a heterodyne chemistry project while developing skills in microfabrication and photolithography. Additional experience includes an internship at Loyola University Medical Center, where a database was created for a Department of Defense-funded study on burn treatments. Laurel holds a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University, completed in 2016.
