Matt Marrapode is an experienced professional with a diverse background in business development, engineering, and global health. Matt has held various roles over the past eight years, starting in 2012 as a Research Assistant in the Clinical Biomechanics Laboratory at Colorado State University. In 2015, they began working at Medtronic as an Associate Research & Development Engineer, later becoming an Engineering Program Manager (acting) and Research & Development Engineer. In 2019, they became an MBA Candidate and MS in Design Innovation (MMM) at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. In 2020, they took on the role of Global Health Summer Fellow at Rice 360° Institute for Global Health and Senior Director of Business Development at Epicore Biosystems.
Matt Marrapode has a diverse educational background. Matt began their studies in 2005 at Neuqua Valley High School, graduating in 2009. Matt then attended Colorado State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in both Biomedical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering in 2015. In 2017, they obtained a Certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Architecture and Systems Engineering. That same year, they also completed a Study Abroad program in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology at The University of Waikato. In 2018, they earned a Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance. Currently, Matt is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science (MS) from Northwestern University, both expected to be completed in 2021. Matt also holds an Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, obtained in 2009.
