James Bone

James Bone is the President and Co-founder of EpiCypher, a company that specializes in epigenetics research tools and services. Bone has over 15 years of experience in the biotechnology industry, with a focus on marketing and product development.

Bone started their career as a Research Associate at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center. James then went on to complete a post-doctoral fellowship at the MD Anderson Cancer Center before joining Upstate / Serologicals as their Director of New Product Development.

In 2006, Bone left Upstate / Serologicals to become the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Lake Placid Biologicals. James then spent a year as a Marketing Consultant before joining Active Motif as their Marketing Manager in 2007.

Bone remained at Active Motif until 2012, when they left to co-found EpiCypher. EpiCypher has been successful thanks to Bone's vision and leadership, and the company is now one of the leading providers of epigenetics research tools and services.

James Bone has a PhD in Cell & Molecular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and doctorates from Florida State University.
