Garland Walker

Garland Walker has a diverse range of work experience across various industries. From 2008 to 2012, they worked as a Sales Associate at Finish Line. Garland then joined Temple University Small Business Development Center as a Training Coordinator from 2011 to 2013, where they assisted with organizing workshops, prepared invoices, and handled sales transactions. In 2014, they worked as a Procurement Intern at Bayer MaterialScience. Later that year, they served as an Information Technology Management Consultant at Visual Connections, LLC, supporting PMO leadership and providing SDLC management and business analysis. In 2017, they worked as a Business Analyst at Octo Consulting Group, where they managed software development projects and provided support to the Treasury OCIO. Garland then joined Common Securitization Solutions in 2018 as a Business Analyst II. Concurrently, they served as a Basketball Official at IAABO Board 12 from 2018 onwards. In 2019, they became an Associate - Senior Business Analyst at MetaPhase Consulting, and in 2020, they joined Epigen as a Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Program Manager at Epigen.

Garland Walker completed their high school education at Schenley High School from 2005 to 2009. Garland then pursued higher education at Temple University, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems, General. This was completed from 2009 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Garland has obtained various certifications in different fields. In 2017, they received "The Online Marketing Fundamentals qualification" from Google. In 2018, they obtained the "ITIL foundations in IT service management" certification from PeopleCert and also became a "Certified Scrum Master" through Scrum Alliance.

Garland continued to enhance their skill set by acquiring the "NYU Fundamentals of Global Sports Management Certificate" from Yellowbrick Fundamentals of Global Sports Management in 2022. Garland is currently in the process of obtaining the "Project Management Professional (PMP)" certification from the Project Management Institute, scheduled to be completed in May 2023.
