Deirdre Black

Deirdre Black focuses on the intersection of science, technology, and sustainability within environmental, social, and economic dimensions. With extensive experience, they were a manager at the Royal Society of Chemistry, where they oversaw significant science policy and innovation initiatives from 2013 to 2018. Currently, Deirdre serves as the Head of Science and Sustainability Strategy Lead at the Royal Society of Chemistry, leading sustainability programs and strategic initiatives. They are also a trustee of the British Epilepsy Association, contributing to financial and policy decisions. Deirdre holds a PhD from Syracuse University and has ongoing education in sustainability business practices.
