Mark Cook AO

Professor Mark Cook AO is the Chief Medical Officer at EpiMinder and the Sir John Eccles Chair of Medicine as well as Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Melbourne. They also serve as the Director of Clinical Neurosciences at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne. With a career focused on epilepsy management, Mark has gained international recognition for their work in advanced imaging, surgical planning, and long-term care of complex epilepsy. A graduate of the University of Melbourne, Mark completed an MD at Queen Square in London and has been instrumental in developing innovative therapies and monitoring technologies, including the first FDA-approved implantable seizure detection system. In 2023, they were appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for their distinguished contributions to neurological medicine and epilepsy research.
