Markus Küchler has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Markus is currently the Head of Global IT Security at Epiroc, starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked as an Investor and Advisor at both Aigine and Xertified, starting in 2021 and 2020, respectively. Markus also has extensive experience in the defense and security sector, having served as Major (res) in the Swedish Armed Forces since 1988, where they specialized in intelligence, security, information operations, cyber warfare, and total defense planning. In 2014, Markus joined Saab as Vice President and Head of Security at Business Area Support and Services, overseeing security operations and playing a key role in security strategy development. Before that, they held various roles at Ericsson from 2002 to 2014, including Program Director Ericsson Response and Head of Security Investigations at Group Security. Markus also had experience working in law enforcement, serving as a Detective Inspector at the Stockholm Police Department from 1990 to 2000. Additionally, they were on secondment at the Swedish National Defence College, where they were a Detective Inspector and worked on cyber warfare and information operations. Markus has received several scholarships and certifications throughout their career, highlighting their expertise and dedication in their field.

Markus Küchler has a diverse education history. Markus completed a program in Leading innovation within new societal, economic and technical realities from Boston University in 2012. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Law & IT Crime from Stockholm University between 1990 and 2000. Markus also achieved an Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Organization and Leadership - "The Learning Organization" from Linnaeus University from 1995 to 1998. Additionally, Markus Küchler obtained a degree as a Police Officer from the Swedish National Police Academy in 1993 and as a Military Officer from the Swedish Naval War Academy in 1990. Their educational background also includes a Student exam in Natural Sciences from Vägga gymnasium in 1988 and a High School Diploma in Political Science and Government from Osage High School in 1985.
