David Kim

David Kim is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both the defense tech industry and private equity. Currently serving as a Board Member at Epirus, David is involved in advancing directed energy weapons technology. As a Senior Advisor at 8VC, David provides strategic guidance in defense-related projects and fundraising initiatives. David co-founded and serves as CEO of the Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation, offering scholarships to military children who have lost parents in service. Previously, David was an Equity Partner and Co-head of Investor Relations at Apax Partners, overseeing significant capital investments. With a background as a Principal at Butler Capital and service as a Field Artillery Officer in the US Army, David's educational achievements include an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in East Asian Studies from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
