Eric Kniffin

Eric Kniffin serves as a fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, focusing on initiatives to protect and strengthen religious liberty as part of the HHS Accountability Project. As an attorney at Kniffin Law, PLLC, Eric Kniffin specializes in assisting religious institutions with civil rights issues. Previously, as a partner at Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie, Eric Kniffin participated in high-profile religious liberty litigation, including significant cases that advanced religious freedoms in trial and appellate courts. Eric Kniffin's experience also includes serving as legal counsel at The Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, a trial attorney at the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, and a law clerk for Judge Theresa Springmann at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana. Eric Kniffin holds a Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School, a Master of Arts in Theology from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Wheaton College.
