Its mission is based on recognizing the importance of growth and ontogeny characteristics in pediatric drug response and the integration of preclinical and clinical research. 

Through EPTRI's services and Thematic Research Platforms (TRPs), significant advancements are expected in pediatric medicines and other therapeutic and diagnostic approaches. By addressing the research gaps and providing comprehensive support throughout various research phases, EPTRI aims to enhance the development and availability of safe and effective treatments for the pediatric population.
