Tim Walker

Gastroenterologist

Tim Walker is a Gastroenterologist and General Physician with extensive experience in both clinical practice and academic leadership. Currently serving as a Gastroenterologist at Epworth, a VMO Gastroenterologist at Barwon Health and the Northern Territory Government, and the Clinical Dean and Senior Staff Specialist at Calvary Health Care, Tim is also the Director of the Damion Drapac Centre for Equity in Health Education at Deakin University. Tim holds the position of Deputy Chair of the College Education Committee at The Royal Australasian College of Physicians and has been a Conjoint Associate Professor at the University of Newcastle since 2019. Previous roles include Consultant Physician at the University Teaching Hospital in Butare, Rwanda, and Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Rwanda. Tim's educational background includes an MBBS (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, a Masters of Public Health and Tropical Medicine from James Cook University, and a FRACP in Gastroenterology.
