Bart Boomstra has a strong background in environmental and marine research, having completed internships with Sea Turtle Conservation Bonaire and Wageningen Marine Research. They worked as an operational manager and radiation protection expert at SMA Zeeland B.V. from 2015 to 2022, where they led projects on environmental research and site remediation. Currently, Bart serves as the coordinator for radioactive waste processing at EPZ. Bart holds a Master of Science in Aquaculture & Marine Resource Management from Wageningen University & Research Centre and a Bachelor's degree in Aquatic Ecotechnology from Hogeschool Zeeland.
