Manager Equipment Reliability at EPZ

Wouter van Caspel has extensive experience in equipment reliability and asset management within the nuclear power sector, currently serving as Manager Equipment Reliability at EPZ since January 2011. In this role, Wouter leads the Equipment Reliability department, focusing on maximizing plant performance and safety. Previous roles at EPZ include Program Lead for Asset Management, where Wouter managed asset portfolios and advised on project priorities based on risk management, and Operations Outage Coordinator, responsible for coordinating annual fuel replacement outages. Earlier experience includes founding IRPdelft, an association for MSc student projects, and internships at Actiflow BV and Alstom Power, focusing on wind turbine design and structural engineering. Wouter holds a Master’s in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology and a Master's after Master's in Nuclear Engineering from the Belgian Nuclear Higher Education Network. Additional training includes courses in communication, radiation protection, and servant leadership.
