Professor Mick Thacker is currently the Head of Research and Development at EQL.ai and serves as a Professor of Pain, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. With a career spanning several decades, Mick has focused on nociception and pain, earning an MSc in Neuroscience from UCL and a PhD in Neuroscience from King’s College London. Mick has held academic positions at Brunel University, St George's Medical School, and King's College London, where they developed the award-winning MSc in Pain Science. They have also been a Senior Research Fellow at The University of South Australia and a Senior Clinical Lecturer with King’s Health Partnership. With over 100 peer-reviewed publications and multiple prestigious awards, Mick has made significant contributions to pain neuroscience and digital health solutions.
