Eric Velez

Eric Velez began their career in 2008 as a Human Resources Intern at Deloitte. In 2009, they became a BOLD Intern at Google, and in 2010 they opened the Melbourne office for Google Australia and managed major Australian banks and superannuation funds. Eric also held roles in Large Customer Sales and Dedicated Client Services at Google. In 2018, Eric took a 1.5 year career break and traveled in Europe, Africa, Middle East, and Asia. In 2020, they returned to Google and worked with Suncorp on the Finance team and then with Qantas and Tourism Australia on the Travel team. Currently, Eric is a Business Development at EQL, a fast-growth startup on a mission to build the world's fairest Hype Commerce platform.

Eric Velez obtained their High School Diploma from the High School for Environmental Studies in 2006. Eric then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University in 2010. In 2019, Eric obtained three certifications from Coursera in Cryptocurrency and Blockchain, FinTech, and Lending, Crowdfunding, and Modern Investing. Eric also obtained a Selling for Impact Certification from Winning by Design in 2022.
