Gerald Smith

Gerald Smith is an experienced geologist with a comprehensive background in geological analyses and explorations. At EQT Corporation since September 2012, Gerald serves as Geologist III, focusing on storage field evaluations and geologic capacity assessments. Prior to this, Gerald worked as Exploration Geologist at Norse Energy Corp from April 2006 to September 2012, concentrating on black shale studies in the Appalachian Basin and conducting geochemical analyses. Earlier roles include Exploration Geologist at Nornew Inc, where responsibilities encompassed well-log interpretation and stratigraphy of clastic sediments, and Research Assistant Professor at the University at Buffalo, where Gerald conducted extensive research on Appalachian Basin depositional systems. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Geology and a B.A. in Geology, both earned from the University at Buffalo.
