Engineer IV - Midstream Engineering at EQT Corporation

Jason Melzer has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Jason began their career at Robert Morris University as a Mechanical Engineering Student, where they were involved in various projects related to automotive engineering and industry accessibility. After completing their education, they joined EQT Corporation as an Engineer I in Gas Systems Analysis before progressing to higher roles including Engineer II in Asset Development Engineering and Engineer III in Gas & Water Optimization and Asset Development Engineering. Jason later took on the role of Engineer III in Production Planning before becoming an Engineer IV in Midstream Engineering, which they currently hold. Prior to their time at EQT Corporation, Jason worked as a Section Supervisor Trainee and Engineer Trainee at Consol Energy. Jason also served as a Firefighter-EMT at FVFD and as an Emergency Medical Technician at JHAA.

Jason Melzer attended Robert Morris University from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. During the same period, they also earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Engineering Management from Robert Morris University. In June 2013, Jason obtained the Engineer in Training (F.E.) certification from the PA Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists. In August 2012, they received the West Virginia Underground Apprentice Miner certification from the West Virginia Office of Mines' Health, Safety, and Training. Jason also holds several additional certifications, including National Proboard Firefighter 1 from the PA State Fire Academy (obtained in June 2012), Basic Vehicle Rescue Technician from the PA Dept of Health (obtained in May 2011), and Pennsylvania EMT-B from the PA Dept. of Health (obtained in July 2010).
