Ali Afridi

Ali Afridi currently serves as Principal at Equal Ventures, a position held since January 2024, after previously holding the same title at the firm from 2018 to August 2021. Between these two tenures, Ali co-founded and served as CEO of Drenchworks, a company focused on developing a modern OS for Trade Contractors in construction, which was incubated by Fractal and acquired in early 2024. Prior experience includes roles at Lightbank as a VC Analyst and as a Summer Associate at General Catalyst, alongside earlier entrepreneurial efforts as Co-Founder of Illini Student Storage. Educational background includes institutions such as the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, and Aitchison College.
