Andrii Semenov

Andrii Semenov is a Lead Research Scientist in the Theory of Quantum Computing at Equal1, specializing in qubit modeling, simulations, quantum error mitigation and suppression, quantum error correction, and quantum applications since March 2023. Previously, Andrii held the position of Senior Research and Development Engineer, focusing on quantum computing, error correction, and quantum/hybrid machine learning techniques. Andrii served as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at University College Dublin from September 2021 to February 2023, continuing research in similar domains. An academic background includes obtaining a PhD in Theoretical Physics from Odessa I.I. Mechnikov National University, where Andrii also completed Master's and Bachelor's degrees. Earlier career experience includes web development roles at TRAVELLIZY, VizualTech, and Odessa State Polytechnic University, contributing to various backend and frontend projects.
