Sandra Ramirez is a feminist human rights lawyer with an anticolonial approach, holding an LL.M. in International and Comparative Law from The George Washington University Law School and advanced studies in human rights law from the University of Oxford. Since August 2023, they have been working as an Advocacy Advisor for Latin America and the Caribbean at Equality Now, focusing on advancing gender justice and addressing violence against adolescents in the region. Sandra has previously contributed to initiatives with UNICEF, the International Organization for Migration, and various civil society organizations, advocating for the rights of women and girls and working to dismantle systemic inequalities. Their experience includes teaching as an Assistant Professor and conducting research with the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights.
