Winfred Lichuma

Winfred Lichuma is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a specialist in human rights and gender, with over 25 years of experience in leadership roles across domestic, regional, and international contexts. Currently serving as the Managing Director of Carillion Consultancies, Winfred leads legal and gender consulting initiatives, focusing on policy and development agendas. Previously, as Chairperson of the Kenya National Gender and Equality Commission, they promoted gender equality and accountability within the government. Winfred has held significant roles such as Commissioner of Human Rights and Legal Affairs Manager at the National Aids Control Council, among others, and maintains active involvement in organizations like Equality Now. They have contributed to major initiatives, including the Paris Agreement negotiations and the Global Gender Action Plan on Climate Change.
