Sheena Barnes is a Director of People & Culture and an advocate for inclusive workplaces and communities, with over a decade of consulting experience in organizational culture and leadership strategy. They made history in 2019 as the first openly LGBTQ+ Black woman elected to the Toledo Public School Board in Northwest Ohio. Currently, Sheena serves as the Director of People and Culture at Equality Ohio and holds the position of Board Member with the Boy Scouts of America. In 2021, they founded Just ACTS LLC, providing consulting services aimed at enhancing workplace culture and leadership capacity. Sheena actively contributes to community organizations, including the Family and Child Abuse Prevention Center and the National Black Justice Coalition.
