Shumai OA has a diverse work experience in the field of software development. They started their career as a Web Developer at Eque2 Ltd in 2022. Prior to that, they founded their own company, Shumai.co.uk, in 2019, where they held the position of Tech Lead and Founder.

In 2018, Shumai worked as a Software Engineer at ARTimbarc, collaborating with galleries and museums to enhance digital visitor experiences. They also gained valuable experience as a Web Developer at We Got Coders, a web development boot camp. During their time there, they worked on various projects, showcasing their skills in full-stack web development.

Shumai OA obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marine Biotechnology from the University of Asmara, where they studied from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they completed an Advanced Diploma in Marine Microbiology and Disease Control at the College Of Marine Science And Technology, from 2006 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, Shumai has also obtained several certifications, including ones in JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures, Responsive Web Design, Python Basics for Data Science, and Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner. They have also completed various courses in artificial intelligence, data science, algorithmic trading, leadership, emotional intelligence, blockchain, and programming foundations. The obtained certifications and completed courses span from 2019 to 2022.
