Marissa Webb has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries.
From 2012 to 2022, they worked at Newport News Shipbuilding, A Division of Huntington Ingalls Industries. Marissa started as a Systems Engineer I and was responsible for developing a material relocation strategy and overseeing contract changes. Marissa then progressed to become an Industrial Engineer 3, where they managed a team and implemented process improvements. Later, they worked as an Engineering Manager, successfully leading a team and delivering continuous improvement projects. Lastly, they served as a Program Manager/Industrial Engineer 4, focusing on risk management and process improvement.
In 2022, Marissa joined EquiLife as an Ayubowan Program Manager, overseeing a program. In 2023, they transitioned to the role of Health Coaching Department & Labs Manager.
Before their time at Newport News Shipbuilding, Marissa worked as a Research Assistant in the Artificial Heart Lab at Penn State University from 2010 to 2012.
Marissa Webb completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering at Penn State University- University Park from 2008 to 2012. Subsequently, from 2014 to 2016, they pursued their Master's Degree in Engineering Management at Old Dominion University. In addition to their formal education, Marissa Webb also obtained a certification as a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in September 2020.
