Matthew Caruthers

Matthew Caruthers is an experienced data center professional with a strong background in critical infrastructure systems and HVAC technology. Currently serving as a Data Center Engineer V at Equinix since September 2025, Matthew is responsible for maintaining Tier III+ systems across multiple data centers, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance. Prior to this role, Matthew held positions such as Regional Account Director at Vigilent, focusing on HVAC and thermal optimization, and National Account Manager at GHA Technologies, Inc, leading infrastructure modernization projects for notable clients. Previous experience includes senior roles at EMK2 LLC and Vertiv, where Matthew spearheaded retrofit projects and advised on thermal and power system upgrades. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in HVACR Engineering Technology from Ferris State University and an Associate of Applied Science from Northern Virginia Community College.
