Alex Silva is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in subsea and mechanical engineering within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Principal Engineer at Equinor, Alex has held key positions at renowned companies such as Subsea 7, TechnipFMC, Saipem, INTECSEA, and Gerdau S.A. With expertise in project coordination, installation engineering, pre-commissioning, and pipeline analysis, Alex has contributed to significant projects including MERO 1 and various Petrobras tenders. A graduate in Mechanical Engineering from Cefet/RJ and holder of a graduate degree in Steelmaking Process from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, Alex possesses a solid educational foundation that complements a robust career spanning over 18 years.
