Devendra Kumar

Devendra Kumar has an extensive background in geology and petroleum engineering, with significant experience in both academia and industry. Starting as a Research Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology in 2001, Devendra progressed to a Research Fellow position at the Indian Space Research Organisation, where research focused on InSAR technique development and its geological applications. Devendra then served as a Senior Officer Geologist at GSPCL and a Senior Lecturer at Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University, where responsibilities included course coordination and geoscience facilitation. In subsequent roles, including Senior Geomechanics Engineer at Schlumberger and currently as Principal Petroleum Engineer at Equinor, Devendra has specialized in geomechanics for deepwater projects in the Gulf of Mexico and Mexican offshore regions. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Applied Geology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Rajasthan.
