Senior Specialist Basin Analysis

Ian Sharp is a highly experienced professional in geology, currently serving as a Senior Specialist in Basin Analysis at Equinor since September 2007 and a Senior Specialist in Global Basin Analysis at Statoil since June 2010, where Ian leads an integrated research team on global rift to drift margins. Additionally, Ian holds the position of Adjunct Professor at the University of Bergen, teaching sedimentology, sequence stratigraphy, and petroleum geology since July 2012. Ian's prior roles include Chief Research Geologist at Statoil, where responsibilities included being the primary corporate research advisor for various geological areas, and Principal Researcher at Norsk Hydro ASA, focusing on carbonate, clastic, and structural geology.
