James Kirk is a safety professional with extensive experience in technical safety engineering and safety advisory roles across various companies in the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as a Safety Engineer at Equinor since November 2023, James previously held positions as a Safety Advisor at New European Offshore and as a Technical Safety Engineer at both TAQA Group and RockRose Energy. With an impressive tenure at Marathon Oil Corporation that included roles as both a Technical Safety Engineer and Senior Safety Technician, James began his career as a Police Officer with Grampian Police. James holds an MSc in Risk and Safety Management from Liverpool John Moores University and a BSc (Hons) in Sports Studies from the University of Aberdeen.
