John Johnston

John Johnston, BEng(Hons), MSc, serves as a Commissioning Manager at Equinor since July 2018, previously leading roles in Repair & Life Extension and FPSO Electrification. Prior experience includes Mechanical Lead at Statoil on the Mariner platform, where responsibilities encompassed oversight of mechanical packaged equipment and collaboration with construction and commissioning teams. John also held the position of Lead Package Responsible Engineer at Eni Norge AS, focusing on package engineering for the GOLIAT project, and was a Lead Marine Engineer for BP's SKARV project, ensuring compliance and team leadership. Earlier roles included Lead Construction Engineer at Tengizchevroil and Mechanical Commissioning Engineer at BP. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Energy from Heriot-Watt University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Open University.
