Margrete Scheide

Margrete Scheide is a Master of Science in Marine Technology specializing in underwater technology. In their Master's thesis, they developed an automatic classification and quantification program for marine habitats using Deep Learning, enhancing their skills in computer processing and programming. Currently, Margrete works as a Senior Engineer in Subsea Technology at Equinor, focusing on the implementation of underwater and unmanned surface vehicles for survey operations and improving data processing efficiency through machine learning. Their diverse experience includes roles at Equinor, NSG Maritime, and Sjøfartsdirektoratet, alongside a research assistantship at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.
