Mark Thomson is a safety and risk engineer currently serving as a Principle Engineer in Technical Safety at Equinor, focusing on the UK Extension project. With a Master's degree in Safety Engineering and Risk Management from the University of Aberdeen, they have over twenty years of experience in large-scale projects, consistently applying their skills in risk and safety management, emergency preparedness, and adherence to safety regulations in both Norwegian and UK contexts. Prior to their role at Equinor, Mark held various positions at significant organizations, including Det Norske Veritas AS and ConocoPhillips, where they managed risk assessments and safety studies. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated a strong commitment to technical safety across multiple projects in challenging environments.
