Roya Moadel serves as General Counsel for Bioenergy Devco since August 2019 and has held the role of Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Columbia University through the NYSERDA Program since 2022. Moadel has been an instructor at Equinox since 2012, coordinating charity class-based events. Prior to current roles, Moadel was General Counsel at Sagewind Capital from October 2018 to August 2019, and operated an independent law practice from April 2013 to October 2018. Moadel also co-owned Island Spine and Sports from 2003 to 2013, overseeing economic and legal matters across various sectors, including medical care and real estate. Moadel began the legal career as a Real Estate Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP from 1993 to 2001. Moadel obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Public Policy Analysis from Barnard College.
