Mauricio Monroy

Vice President, LATAM at Equisoft

Mauricio Monroy is currently the Vice President of LATAM at Equisoft. Mauricio has over eight years of experience in project management and coordination. Mauricio has a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget. Mauricio is skilled in risk analysis and control, and is able to manage teams of up to 10 people.

Mauricio began their career as a Project Planner & Controller at General Electric. In this role, they were responsible for defining realistic project plans and budget baselines. Mauricio was also responsible for dealing with behavioural challenges of team members. After a year at GE, Mauricio moved to Bombardier Aerospace, where they served as Project Manager for four years. In this role, they coordinated the execution of the entire life cycle of IT projects. Mauricio was also in charge of project initiation, planning, execution, deployment, and stabilisation phases.

During their time at Bombardier Aerospace, Mauricio delivered strategic IT solutions that added real value to the business units. These solutions were deployed to more than 700 users located in different countries. Mauricio was also successful in maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction by excellent communication and coordination with the end-user community.

In January 2014, Mauricio left Bombardier Aerospace to join Equisoft as Vice President of LATAM. In this role, they are responsible for leading Equisoft’s operations in Latin America. Mauricio is also responsible for developing and implementing strategies to grow the business in the region.

Mauricio Monroy has an MBA in IT Management from HEC Montréal, and is a certified software engineer from Universidad de Los Andes. Mauricio also has certifications in SAP (TERP 10), Six Sigma Methodology (Black Belt), and PMI (PMP).

They work with Mark DePhillips - Senior Vice President, USA, Satish Krishnan - Vice President, Account Management, and Brian Carey - Senior Director, Application Integration. Mauricio Monroy reports to Luis Romero, Founder and CEO.
