Michael Sheiowitz

Michael Sheiowitz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in regulatory affairs and examination within the insurance industry. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Regulatory Affairs at Equitable since January 2020, Michael has previously held the position of Senior Director at AXA US from May 2015 to January 2020. Michael’s career also includes a role as Assistant Chief Examiner at the New York State Department of Financial Services from July 2013 to May 2015, and a long tenure at the New York State Insurance Department from October 1994 to June 2013, where responsibilities spanned across the Life Bureau, Consumer Services Bureau, and Licensing Bureau. Michael holds a Master of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor's Degree in Rhetoric and Communication from the University at Albany.
